For the first time, the EMMA Creative Center Pforzheim, the Café Roland, the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences and KiTa invited visitors to the Emma Jaeger Bath for the Quartiersfest by the river Enz.
The varied program, ranging from a joint planting campaign with KiTa to exhibitions, workshops , lectures and a fashion show, showed who lives and works in the neighborhood and what happens there every day.
More than 2000 visitors used the day to get to know the EMMA, the Café Roland and the Alfons-Kern-Tower and spend a relaxing day in a great atmosphere.

Where is the sacred in our world today? What do we believe in? These are central questions with which the first-ever joint exhibition of students from the 3rd, 4th and 6th semesters of visual communication aim to answer. Studying in the University of Applied Sciences in Pforzheim, the artists have developed these works within the subject of “Communication in Space”. In 16 installations, the students explored the profane and the holy, the secular and the sacred and rehearsed the Axis Mundis of Design.
The exhibition is a collaborative project between the students of the University of Applied Sciences in Pforzheim and the Protestant, the Islamic and the Jewish communities in Pforzheim.

Fear of the future, fear of change, fear of reducing the pension, fear of a loss of benefits, fear for possession, fear for the lack of security: Among other things, these multiple fears are one reason why populists are heard to gain more and more success.
With the exhibition “Wa (h) re Angst” the EMMA Creative Center Pforzheim, the artist Janusz Czech and the philosophical business magazine “agora42” set impulses for discussion: Which topics really scare people? Is there a “true fear” behind all fears? If the fear is a business, is it traded as “commodity”? Who benefits from the fear? How do parties use the fears in society to get votes?
International artists have dealt with these questions in their works. Accompanying the exhibition, the magazine agora42 designed the edition “Wa (h) re Angst”, which intends to deal with both the philosophical and the economic aspects of fear.
